Introduction

While most cars are sold with remote keys already programmed to the vehicle, there are instances where the remote may need to be reprogrammed or replaced with another key. One of the most common reasons remotes require reprogramming is accidental unprogramming.

If the owner does not have a spare key, they can use blank keys or reuse an old key.

If you decide to reuse an old key, it must be cleared of previous memory before programming.

This is where the Key Eraser V1.5 Key Cleaner Tool comes in—it wipes all memory from your old key and prepares it for reprogramming.

Please note that exact wipe instructions vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

The Key Eraser V1.5 Tool reads and writes PCF79XX chips to unlock remotes, fully erasing existing memory and preparing the car key for reuse. However, to complete the programming process, a separate key programmer is required.
