Introduction

Memo-Scanner For Benz C-Class is newly developed and specially designed for car owners or DIYers. With a Memo Scanner, you may quickly find out trouble causes of electronically controlled systems on your car by reading the trouble code (DTC) shown on Memo-Scanner and checking out trouble causes with the attached manual.

Though so small, it is of the same function as special tools of its kind and applicable to 16-pin socket Mercedes Benz S&E-Class. Compatible with: E200 ~ E280 ~ E350 ~ E500 ~ S280 ~ S350 ~ S500 ~ S600 ~ SLK200 ~ SLK280 ~ SLK350

Functions

• Reading trouble codes: When you press the "Read" button, the Memo Scanner will read DTCs of the powertrain system one by one.
• Clearing trouble codes: When you press the "Clear" button, the Memo Scanner will clear DTCs of the powertrain system.

Operation

When the "CHECK ENGINE" light is on, stop the car and apply the parking brake. Start the engine, then plug the Memo Scanner into the 16-pin socket usually located under the instrument panel in the car. It will display the brand name "UIF" twice. Then press the "READ" button—it will read and display the trouble code three times.

If there are no trouble codes, it will display [-- -- -- --].

When you press the "ERASE" button, it will clear the trouble codes.

In case the Memo Scanner cannot be plugged in directly or codes cannot be seen due to the socket facing downward, use the extension cable with the female plug to connect the Memo Scanner and the 16-pin plug with the socket.
