5 Programming Modes for LAUNCH LTR01 & Unencrypted Sensors

The Launch CRT5011E TPMS programmer supports all LAUNCH LTR01 sensors and other unencrypted sensors (315MHz and 433MHz) to replace damaged units.

Programming Modes Supported:

Sensor Programming Functions

• Auto Create: This function programs the LAUNCH sensor by generating random IDs based on the test vehicle when the original sensor ID cannot be obtained. Select the target wheel on the tool, place a LAUNCH sensor near the tool’s TPMS antenna, and choose CREATE SENSOR to generate a new random sensor ID.
• Manual Create: Enables manual entry of a sensor ID—either a random ID or the original sensor ID if available.
• Copy ID by Activation: Retrieves the tire pressure sensor ID when the original sensor is functioning normally. The retrieved original sensor data can then be written to the LAUNCH sensor. This method is used after triggering the original sensor.
• Copy by OBD: First, perform “Read ID from Vehicle” in the Relearn function to fetch the sensor ID stored in the vehicle’s ECU. This is useful when the original sensor is damaged but its ID remains saved in the vehicle system. The stored ID can then be directly written into your LAUNCH RF sensor.
• Create Multi-sensor (1–8): Allows simultaneous programming of up to eight sensors at once.

TPMS Sensor Activation

The Launch CRT5011E TPMS Diagnostic Tool activates TPMS sensors to display real-time sensor data, including sensor ID, tire pressure, transmission frequency, tire temperature, and battery condition (voltage).

TPMS Relearn Methods

• Stationary Relearn: Requires placing the vehicle into “Learn Mode.” Follow on-screen instructions to activate each sensor and complete the stationary relearn procedure.
• OBDII Relearn: Enables the CRT5011E to write TPMS sensor IDs directly to the vehicle’s TPMS module via the OBD connector.
• Auto Relearn: Completed by driving the vehicle. Refer to the on-screen Relearn Procedure for model-specific instructions.

Note: Not all relearn methods are available for every vehicle. Depending on the car model, one, two, or all three relearn types may be supported.

Important Usage Notes

• The LAUNCH CRT5011E TPMS Relearn Tool is designed exclusively for diagnosing electronic control systems in 12V vehicles and is not suitable for six-wheeled dual-rear vehicles.
• For early magnet-activated sensors, place a magnet over the valve stem and position the tool alongside the stem.
• If the TPMS sensor requires tire deflation (approximately 10 PSI), deflate the tire and hold the tool next to the valve stem while pressing the activation button.
• To successfully activate, check, or read a tire pressure sensor, ensure the CRT5011E is positioned within 30 cm of the sensor.
• Always select the correct vehicle make, model year, and TPMS sensor frequency before attempting activation or reading.
• If activation fails, try selecting alternative model years or sensor frequencies.
• If issues persist even after trying different settings and tire deflation (where applicable), please provide your vehicle model, year, and sensor OEM part number for support.
