AK500+ Key Programmer FAQs

Q: How do I write keys using the AK500+ Key Programmer?

A: Follow these steps:

1. Remove the EIS unit from your vehicle.
2. Connect the EIS according to the connection diagram.
3. Read the EIS data.
4. Load the data into the SKC calculator to generate key data, then use the AK500+ to write it to a new key.

Q: Can the AK500+ perform Read/Write on NEC Keys via Infrared and Fast Erase NEC Chips via socket?

A:

• Infrared Read/Write NEC Key: Only supported for old keys; not available for new keys.
• Fast Erase NEC Chip via Socket: Requires the chip to be a NEC type and must be removable/renewable.

Q: I cannot find the 95xxx adapter. I don’t have a 95 adapter to connect to 95xxx on the AK500+ main unit, so I can't read ECU or ESM data. Some videos mention it's included in the package, but I didn't receive one. Please provide a 95xxx chip adapter, otherwise I cannot use the device properly.

A: The current AK500+ SKC model does not include a 95xxx chip adapter. Unlike older AK500 models, the AK500+ with SKC calculator does not require you to remove the ECU. Using AK500+ with SKC is simpler and more efficient than the older version with the 95xxx adapter.

Q: I tried to renew a NEC chip without placing any chip on the socket, but the device still attempts to erase. Shouldn't it show an error? Why does it continue erasing with no chip present?

A: The AK500+ cannot renew a NEC chip via socket while it's installed in the key. You must physically remove the NEC chip and place it on the chip dashboard for renewal.
