1. Hold the holding part of UT387C with your hands, place the instrument up and down. with the bottom flat against the wall.
2. Select the detection mode. When the mode switch is moved to the far left, it is to select the first blocking Stud Scan mode, as shown in Figure 1. When it is moved to the second gear, it is to select the Thick Scan mode as shown in Figure 2.
3. Calibrate, press and hold the power button without letting go. At this time, when the instrument enters the automatic calibration process, all icons will be displayed on the LCD screen (including: "StudScan"/ThickScan"+ "Battery Power Symbol" + Metal + Target Indication Bar) until the instrument verification is completed. When the instrument is successfully verified, the green LED flashes once and the buzzer briefly sounds once to remind the user that the verification has been successful. At this time, the instrument can be moved to detect wood or other objects.
