2012 RAV4 Smart Key Programmer for TOYOTA
Toyota 2012–RAV4 Smart keys use TOYOTA’s latest anti-theft system. When all keys are lost, programming a new key requires access to both the ECU (Anti-theft Box) and the Smart ECU (Intelligent Anti-theft Box). According to TOYOTA 4S shop maintenance procedures, you must replace the ECU (Anti-theft Box), the Smart ECU (Intelligent Control Box), and the entire lock set.
Using Method
Please try to use an ordinary programmer to read data from the 93C46 chip and save data from the 93C86 chip, then follow the steps below.

Remove the ECU anti-theft box and solder the Storage IC – 93C46 into the Toyota programming position. Connect the USB cable to the computer; the indicator light will flash slowly. Press the power switch—the indicator light will begin flashing rapidly. After 10 seconds, the light turns off, indicating a successful operation. Reinstall the 93C46 chip back into the anti-theft box.

Remove the Intelligent anti-theft box and solder the Storage IC – 93C86 into the Toyota programming position. Connect the USB cable to the computer; the indicator light will flash slowly. Press the power switch—the indicator light will begin flashing rapidly. After 10 seconds, the light turns off, indicating a successful operation. Reinstall the 93C86 chip back into the Intelligent anti-theft box.

Reinstall the anti-theft box and Intelligent anti-theft box into the vehicle. Turn on the power and press the ignition switch near the instrument panel. Use the CI-PROG 300 Key Programmer to add a new smart key directly. The instrument cluster will prompt you to bring an original key close to the ignition switch. Simply place one original key near the switch—when the car emits a single “Beep,” the first key is successfully recognized. Repeat the process for the second key. After successfully adding the smart key, remember to turn on the switches so the steering lock ECU activates before using the remote. Typically, with the original data-modified smart card, the car will start directly. However, if the steering ECU engages after the motor runs idle, you must short pins 4 and 13 of the OBDII port and wait 45 minutes before the car can be started.
