All the above keys use an NEC chip (non-BGA type). To use the adaptor:
- You must desolder the NEC chip from the key and place it onto the NEC adaptor.
- For NEC V51 and V57 versions, you can read the password directly from a working key—no need to retrieve it from the EIS.
- For all NEC key types, you must use the “Identification key” function to read the key once before performing a renew or write operation.
