The CAN FD Adapter is designed for diagnosing ECU systems of vehicles that comply with CAN FD protocols. It is used in conjunction with OBDSTAR tablet series products such as the Key Master DP Plus, offering high performance and ease of operation.

The P004 Adapter is designed for ECU programming and data reading/writing in bench mode, offering the following advantages:

2. Allows on-the-fly activation or deactivation of 120Ω resistance for CANBUS ECUs.
3. Supports both 6&14 and 3&11 CANBUS protocols simultaneously.
4. Optional CAN FD adapter (primarily for post-2020 models such as Hyundai/Kia).
5. Supports GM Single CAN (GM SCAN).
6. Supports K-line Protocol.
7. P004 jumper enables connection to multiple wires at once, simplifying and clarifying wiring.
8. DB15 connector is compatible with any OBDII-16 I/O interface.

Advanced Functions with Optional MP001 Programmer and RH850/V850 Adapter Kit

Enables data reading, writing, and repair of new SRS ECUs equipped with encrypted RH850 processors. Diagnosis and repair of these encrypted SRS ECUs are performed through the MP001 programmer, eliminating the need to switch between the MP001 programmer and the P004 adapter. Power supply is automatically controlled, enhancing safety and convenience while preventing internal faults caused by insufficient power-off time.

Optional MP001 Programmer and RH850/V850 Adapter Kit vs. P004 Adapter

This kit uses the MP001 programmer with the C4-06 adapter (soldering wire) to decrypt new SRS ECUs with the encrypted RH850 processor for data reading, writing, and repair. It also uses the MP001 programmer with the BENCH-A-V3 jumper to perform standalone SRS ECU diagnosis (read/erase fault codes), eliminating the need to switch between the MP001 programmer and the P004 adapter.

Compared to the P004 adapter, the MP001 programmer automatically controls power on/off for the SRS ECU—no manual intervention required. This results in a safer, more convenient experience and prevents internal faults caused by incomplete ECU sleep due to insufficient power-off duration.
