How to activate the 48 chip copy function:
Open the VVDI2 key programmer software, navigate to Menu > Member Points System, and redeem the 48 chip copy function using your available points.
Supported vehicle types:
The 48 chip copy function is compatible with vehicles using the 4th Immobilizer system, including models with NEC24C32, NEC24C64, NEC24C64 color instrument, A1, A3/TT/R8, Q3, new Tiguan 873B, 883B, and others.
Key functions:
Copying a 48 chip requires the vehicle’s PIN code and component security (CS) bytes. You can obtain these using one of the following methods:
- VVDI2 can read the PIN code directly from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) via OBDII and retrieve the CS bytes.
- You already possess the component security bytes and PIN code.
With either method, the VVDI2 supports 48 chip copying, adding new 48 chips, all-key-lost scenarios, and smart key programming.
Important note for MAGOTAN / CC models:
For these vehicles, the VVDI2 can only copy 48 chips when an original key is present. It does not support 46 chips, smart keys, or all-key-lost situations.
