Lifetime Free Updates
- Download the upgrade program from www.anceltech.com to a Windows 10 computer.
- Connect the reader to the computer via a mini USB cable.
- Select the ABOUT/Update Mode menu to enter update mode.
- Launch the update program and select the appropriate port.
- Click "Start Upgrade" to begin.
- Upon completion, a prompt appears. Check the new version number under ABOUT/Tool Information.
Recovery After Update Interruption
If an update fails and the system crashes, re-enter update mode as follows:
- Disconnect the USB cable, power off the reader, then press and hold the Enter key.
- Reconnect the reader to the Windows 10 computer via mini USB cable.
- Release the Enter key when all three indicator lights illuminate—the reader will re-enter update mode.
